Men’s Bible Study & Prayer Group

Leader Justin Biddle 479-221-3125

Gentlemen, We invite each of you to join our small group on Wednesday mornings 6:30 a.m.-7:30 a.m. in the Spirituality Center. No one is forced to talk and it’s okay if you miss a week or two here and there.

It’s never the wrong time when hearing God speak to us through His word or each other. Each of us receives the message He wants us to hear and in His timing. So, please consider joining us on Wednesday mornings in the Spirituality Center for prayer, fellowship, Bible exploration and coffee. Contact Justin Biddle for more information at 479-221-3125 or justinjbbiddle@gmail.com

Social Concerns Committee
Social Concerns deals with issues that are meant to help make our community a better place. We try any way we can to help those in our community who are less fortunate. This Committee serves as an outreach to the community by sponsoring blood drives, assistance and ministry to shut-ins, feeding the children and spending time with the children at the Juvenile Detention Center. We provide presents for
families who cannot afford presents at Christmas, work with DHS, Habitat for Humanity and with Inter Faith Pre School. We have an Angel Tree at Christmas for senior citizens and send greeting cards to our homebound for special occasions and birthdays and we also send cards to the sick and people who have lost loved ones. The regular meetings are on the 1st Thursday of every month at 6:00p.m. For more information please contact Carole Hargrave @ 646-9456.

Condolence Committee
This Committee is designed to reach out to fellow parishioners in their time of grief, they provide dinners or food for the family and out of town guest when needed. Volunteers are put on lists and two people co-chair each list. When the Committee is contacted the co-chairs call the names on the list they have and ask if they can either drop off a dish, help with the dinner or donate money to help with the meal. This is a wonderful Ministry that is a vital part of our parish. Contact Terry Olsen at 479-719-7662 to be added to the list of volunteers to assist this ministry.

Knitting Group

Sisters of the Heart Faith Sharing
Sisters of the Heart is a faith sharing group open to women of all ages and denominations. Our goal is to encourage a personal relationship with God through the teachings of Jesus in scripture and through the words of various faith-filled authors. This group’s focus is to strengthen our faith by sharing and our sharing is based on care, compassion and confidentiality. We consider it a blessing to share our soul-searching questions with each other and an honor to be trusted with the feelings of other faith filled women.
Our Tuesday mornings are a joyful time of sharing, laughing and even crying with each other as we learn to recognize God’s Presence with and within us. We come with the certainty that as we share our experiences and questions with one another, we will receive encouragement, compassion and strength. This time together keeps us centered in Christ and reinforces our desire to share God’s message of love with our community.
Our studies challenge us to take an inner journey and discover the woman God intended us to be. Each woman completes readings on her own during the week but faith sharing goes beyond personal study, for it is in the discussions that we hear God more clearly. Oftentimes, clarity is provided when someone states exactly what another needed to hear. Our faith sharing is not about doctrine or theology, rather it is a time to be surrounded by love and understanding as we become aware of how God is working in our lives.
This group meets on Tuesday mornings in Parish Room 1 throughout the school year from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. and we undertake 1-2 studies each semester. We always welcome new members, so if you would like to join us, please contact Linda Dickinson, 479-461-1960 and lhdickinson2612@att.net or Mary Charlton 479-883-3388 for more information.

Presentation Circle
The Presentation Circle provides fellowship for women of the parish ages 21 and over. The Circle assist the parish in many ways, such as two bake sales every year, 2 booths at the spring carnival, assist with the parish Thanksgiving dinner, and special projects. We are also a social group…for example we have catered dinners and parties, pot luck dinners, arts and crafts, go on field trips and have guest speakers. The regular meetings are on the 4th Monday of each month from September through May. There is always a notice in the bulletin to announce the meetings and we welcome all new members. The most important thing about the Circle is the good friends you make. For more information contact Carole Hargrave 650-4187.
